A yellow alert was raised anew in the Luzon grid on Thursday due to thin power reserves.
In its advisory, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said the alert was in effect starting at 10 a.m. up until 4 p.m.
Available capacity is at 11,625 megawatts (MW) while peak demand is at 11,293 MW.
The NGCP declares a yellow alert when reserves are less than the capacity of the biggest plant in the grid which is 647 MW for Luzon.
