Sotto ends Eusebio reign in Pasig, Abalos reelected in Mandaluyong

THE reign of the Eusebios in Pasig City has ended with incumbent mayor Bobby Eusebio losing to upstart Vico Sotto.
Sotto, son of television host Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes, garnered 205,830 votes while Eusebio got 119,222 votes, based on 98 percent of election returns transmitted from the 470 of 479 precincts.
Lone vice mayoral candidate Iyo Caruncho Bernardo, meanwhile, got 265,531.
Roman Romulo defeated Ricky Eusebio for the Pasig congressional seat.
Romulo got 220,895 votes while Ricky garnered 96,694.
In Mandaluyong City, reelectionist Carmelita Abalos defeated Florencio Solomon, 128,661 votes against 8,589 based on the tally of all election returns in the mayoralty race.
For vice mayor, Anthony Suva won iver Boy de Quinto, 111,922 against 18,981 votes.
