MANILA, Philippines — Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. suggested on Thursday that the public go back to getting their news from print.
Locsin, a former journalist, made this remark on Twitter following reports that the Singaporean parliament already passed laws to combat “fake news” that would allow authorities to order the removal of online content.

“We were discussing this. And the fall of print news which automatically countered fake news because it’s content could be traced by litigation to the source of the lie,” Locsin wrote on Twitter.
