Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra has dared the man claiming to be “Bikoy” to file a complaint against the family of President Duterte over his allegations that they are involved in the illegal drugs trade.
Guevarra made the call after Peter Joemel Advincula surfaced on Monday claiming to be the man named Bikoy in the viral videos “Ang Totoong Narcolist.”
“This guy who says that he is “Bikoy” should now go to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and file his complaint if he has sufficient evidence against members of the first family,” said the secretary.
Rodel Jayme, who is now in the custody of the NBI, was charged Tuesday before the Paranaque City Regional Trial Court (RTC) with inciting to sedition over his alleged involvement in the propagation of the videos.
In the videos, the hooded Bikoy claimed that he is former member of a drug syndicate and has personal knowledge about the involvement of Duterte’s family and former aide, senatorial bet Christopher “Bong” Go, in the illegal drugs trade.
During a press conference at the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), Advincula said he is willing to testify before Senate about his allegations.
“Handa po ako humarap sa ano mang imbestigasyon ng Senado upang patotohanan ang lahat ng inilabas ko sa video serye,” he said.
Apart from personal knowledge, Advincula claims he has concrete evidence to support his allegations.
“At sa tulong ng ibang mga dating kasama ko sa sindikato na gusto na ding lumabas, pinasa sa akin ang iba’t ibang dokumentong nakita nyo sa video,” said Advincula.
He also assured that he is not affiliated with any political party and does not know Jayme who claimed that those behind the videos are supporters of the Liberal party.
Advincula said he decided to surface due to threats on his life and the continued threats posed by illegal drugs against families.
“Panahon na upang puksain ang pamamayagpag ng sindikatong ito,” he stated.
Advincula said he went to the IBP to seek legal assistance concerning his allegations against the Duterte family and Go. (Jeffrey Damicog)
