THE Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or the number coding scheme will be suspended on Labor Day, May 1, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.
“The number coding scheme is suspended on May 1 [in] commemoration of Labor Day,” MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim said in a statement.
Lim reminded motorists to plan their trips and to observe road safety measures and policies during the holiday.
The cities of Las Piñas and Makati, which have their own independent traffic management departments, will also be suspending their coding schemes, the MMDA said.
Number coding bans public and private utility vehicles on the road on certain days of the week based on the numbers at the end of their license plates.
