Manila traffic rerouted on Saturday for grand festival

MANILA traffic will be rerouted on Saturday, as parts of the city will be closed for the annual Aliwan Fiesta.
THE Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) said the
southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard (from Katigbak Drive to P. Ocampo, Manila) would be closed at 4 p.m.
Motorists are advised to take the alternative routes:
If coming from Bonifacio Drive and intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. shall turn left to P. Burgos Ave. to point of destination;
If coming from the three bridges (Jones, McArthur, Quezon) intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, they shall go straight to Taft Ave., to point of destination;
If on the westbound lane of P. Burgos Ave., they shall turn right to Bonifacio Drive or make a U-turn to the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Ave., to point of destination;
If on the westbound lane of TM Kalaw Street going to Roxas Blvd., they shall turn left to MH del Pilar Street to point of destination;
If on the westbound lane of UN Ave., going to Roxas Blvd., they shall turn left to MH del Pilar Street, or utilize Roxas Blvd. service road to point of destination;
If on the westbound lane of Pres. Quirino Ave. and intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Blvd., they shall turn left to Adriatico Street to point of destination; and
If on the westbound lane of P. Ocampo Street intending to utilize the southbound lane of Roxas Blvd., they shall turn left to FB Harrison to point of destination.
The MDTEU said the actual closing and opening would be based on actual traffic condition.
Aliwan Fiesta is considered to be the grandest festival in the city to honor Philippine culture, and tradition.
