THE Clark International Airport may resume partial operations on Wednesday, authorities said after securing the soundness of its structure following a strong earthquake.
THE Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) said there was “no substantial damage” to its tower, apron runways and taxiways, a day after a 6.1 magnitude quake jolted Zambales.
“The good news is that the tower can be operated, there was no substantial damage. Wala ring problema sa road surface ng airports,” CIAC President Jaime Melo said in a statement.
Clearing operations and repairs in the departure area and terminal building are currently in place.
The power supply has been fully restored in the vicinity.
