Gasoline prices up anew effective on Tuesday

OIL companies announced a P0.10 per liter increase in the price of gasoline effective on Tuesday.
Caltex, Eastern Petroleum, Flying V, Petro Gazz, Petron, Phoenix Petroleum, Pilipinas Shell, PTT Philippines and SeaOil Philippines will enforce the adjusted price startinf at 6 a.m.
There is no change in diesel and kerosene prices.
The latest adjustment brings the common price of gasoline to P59.09 per liter while diesel and kerosene remain at P44.65 and P49.62 per liter respectively based on the Department of Energy’s weekly monitoring.
Industry players jacked up pump prices because of an increase in global oil prices.
Brent crude oil futures climbed 3.2 percent to $74.31 per barrel, while the US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose by 3 percent to $65.87 per barrel, reports said.
Last week, oil companies increased the price of gasoline by P1.05 per liter, diesel by P0.75 per liter and kerosene by P0.60 per liter. EIREENE JAIREE GOMEZ
