MANILA, Philippines — A fire hit the landmark Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris on Monday afternoon, April 15 (early Tuesday in the Philippines), possibly related to renovation works being carried out at the site, according to an Agence France-Presse report.
In its website, the Spanish news outfit El País, said the fire started at around 5:00 p.m. local time (11:00 p.m. Philippine time). The Paris City Hall had already implemented an evacuation of the area.
