THE Luzon grid was again placed on yellow alert on Saturday. The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines said the alert may last for 12 hours.
The grid operator hoisted the yellow alert at 9 a.m.
It said the available capacity is at 10,326 megawatts (MW) while peak demand is at 9,933MW.
The NGCP declares a yellow alert when power reserves are less than the capacity of the biggest plant in Luzon.
A yellow alert, however, does not mean that there would be power outages. Jordeene B. Lagare
