THE yellow alert in the Luzon grid was lifted late Wednesday night the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said.
In its advisory, the country’s grid operator said there was “sufficient generating capacity and low actual demand,” prompting the NGCP to lift the alert at 9:47 p.m.
The NGCP yellow alert is a system condition in which the reserves are less than the capacity of the biggest plant online, which is 647 megawatts (MW) for Luzon.
