Fire hits Gaisano Mall in Davao City

MANILA, Philippines — Fire broke out in major shopping mall in Davao City Wednesday afternoon, The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Davao regional office 11 reported.
BFP-Davao Regional Office’s Fire Officer I Arnold Damaso told INQUIRER.net that authorities received a report regarding a fire inside Gaisano Mall at around 4:17 p.m.
Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze less at 4:55p.m.
Photos shared on Facebook by netizen Ron Anore show the building on fire and thick dark smoke billowing from the its side.

Damaso said no fatalities or injuries have so far been reported.
“Under investigation pa po yang apoy. Fire out na pero ini-investigate pa kung saan nagsimula yung apoy,” Damaso said. / gsg
