Cynthia Villar, Pia Cayetano top millenial candidates for senator — online survey

REELECTIONIST senator Cynthia Villar and Representative Pia Cayetano emerged as the top choice of millennials in the senatorial race, according to an online survey conducted two months ahead of the midterm elections.
#PahayagOnline was conducted between March 7 and 16 on 1,200 respondents aged 23 to 38 years old across the country. The survey was sponsored by Publicus Asia, Inc. and the online panel respondents were provided by Singapore-based Lightspeed Research.
Villar topped the senatorial rankings, garnering 45.08 percent while Cayetano came in at second with 42.08 percent votes.
Completing the top 12 were Grace Poe (3rd), Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa (4th), Edgardo “Sonny” Angara (5th), Willie Ong (6th), Christopher “Bong” Go (7th), Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel 3rd (8th), Francis Tolentino (9th), Imee Marcos (10th), Nancy Binay (11th) and Sergio Osmena 3rd (12).
Ranked from 13 to 20 were: Benigno “Bam” Aquino 4th (13th), Larry Gadon (14th), Lito Lapid (15th), Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito (16th), Jiggy Manicad (17th), Manuel “Mar” Roxas 2nd (18th), Juan Ponce Enrile (19th) and Bong Revilla (20th).
Publicus Asia also noted that President Rodrigo Duterte held sway among online millennials as one-third or 33.17 percent indicated support for his candidates. DIVINA NOVA JOY DELA CRUZ
