THE National Grid Corp. (NGCP) lowered its red alert in the Luzon grid to yellow, which would remain until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
In its advisory, the country’s grid operator said the red alert notice was lifted at 4:46 p.m.
The available capacity is 10,422 megawatts (MW) while peak demand is at 10,140 MW.
The NGCP defines red alert as a system condition when there is zero ancillary service (AS) or a generation deficiency exists.
A yellow alert is a system condition in which the reserves are less than the capacity of the biggest plant in Luzon.
