DEFENDING three-time champion De La Salle University firmed up its Final Four bid at the women’s volleyball tournament of UAAP Season 81 at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday by cruising past Adamson University, 25-15, 25-18, 25-16.
The Lady Spikers, powered by rookie Jolina Dela Cruz, tallied their eighth win in 11 games to stay at No. 2, ahead of the University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University, which are tied at 7-4.
Dela Cruz had 13 points off nine attacks, two aces and two kill blocks as DLSU heads into its big match against league-leading Ateneo de Manila University on Saturday.
The Lady Falcons absorbed their seventh straight defeat for a 1-10 card.
