PH privacy commission probes hacking of social networking sites

THE National Privacy Commission (NPC) is investigating reports of hacking on some social networking and other known sites, which “may have involved personal data.”
In a statement on Thursday, the NPC said Facebook and Twitter, Yahoo and Wattpad, along with those from private and public organizations, which were not named, were some of the affected sites.
The NPC said that “at least one group of local hackers has claimed ownership of these acts.”
