Man wanted for rape since 2004 nabbed in Las Piñas

MANILA, Philippines — A 33-year-old man, who had been wanted for rape since 2004, was arrested in Las Piñas City on Wednesday, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
The suspect was identified as Lindon Abian, who is tagged as the most wanted person nationwide.
Police arrested Abian on learning from an informant that the suspect was reportedly seen at Metrocor Site in Barangay Almanza Uno, Las Piñas.
Members of the NCRPO Regional Intelligence Division (RID), the Cavite Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and the Las Piñas City Police Station arrested Abian at 5 p.m.
They had an arrest warrant for rape, with no recommended bail, which was issued by Executive Judge Jose Pilar of Regional Trial Court Branch 19 in Ilocos Norte on Nov. 18, 2004.
Abian was accused in 2002 of raping a woman, identified only as Sonya, at his home in Barangay Balaoi in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. /atm
