8 arrested, 2 minors rescued in QC drug sting

MANILA, Philippines – Eight persons were arrested while two minors were rescued in a drug buy-bust operation in Novaliches, Quezon City on Wednesday.
Arrested were John Paolo Arellano, 23; Denmark Rivera, 24; Neil Sollestre, 22; Gian Salonga, Vian Paolo Buza, 22; Lucio Tan, 23; Shams Tacderan, 24 and Aeron Calucin, 22.
Quezon City police officers nabbed the suspects at M. Nova Apartelle, along Mindanao Avenue in Barangay Talipapa.
Recovered from the arrested suspects were 200 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth around P24,000, a plastic bag with three ecstasy tablets, three bottles of liquid ecstasy, eight sachets of shabu, four cellphones and a car. /gsg
