MANILA, Philippines – An American fugitive who is wanted for murder and other crimes in the United States (US) is set to be deported by the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

BI chief Jaime Morente said on Wednesday that Antonio Marsonel Wilson, 38, has been the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the US district court in Warren County, Kentucky.

Wilson was arrested last March 27 in Angeles City, Pampanga by agents of the BI’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).

According to Morente, Wilson is a “hardened and incorrigible criminal whose presence here poses a serious threat to the lives and well-being of Filipinos.”

Wilson has also reportedly pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy and four counts of distributing crack cocaine in his mother country, Morente said.

Morente ordered immigration’s board of commissioner to issue the deportation order of Wilson and to facilitate his immediate expulsion.

Wilson is currently detained at the BI detention center in Bicutan, Taguig City, pending the processing of his deportation papers. / gsg
