Magnitude 5.4 quake jolts Dinagat Island–Phivolcs

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake was recorded 49 kilometers northeast of Loreto, Dinagat Islands on Monday, according to the state volcanology bureau.
The quake at 10:16 a.m. was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 30 kilometers, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Aftershocks are predicted although no damage is expected.
Intensity 5 was felt in Loreto, Dinagat Islands; Intensity 4 in Silago, Southern Leyte and Borongan City; Intensity 3 in Surigao City, San Jose in Dinagat Islands; Limasawa, San Francisco, San Juan, Hinunangan and Maasin City in Southern Leyte; Tacloban City; Ormoc City, Palo, Hilongos, Bato, Hindang, Babatngon, Javier, MacArthur, Tanauan, Matalom, Abuyog, Isabel, Capoocan, and Dagami in Leyte; and Lawaan, Samar; and Intensity 1 in Talibon Bohol; Roxas City; Gingoog City.
