MALACANANG on Friday told Maria Ressa, founder of the online news website Rappler, to just face the music and quit complaining after she was arrested anew on Friday morning for alleged violation of the Anti-Dummy Law.

Ressa was freed after posting a P90,000 bail before the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 265 on the same day.

In a press briefing, Palace spokesman Salvador Panelo said that due process was followed, so Ressa should not have any basis to complain.

“All warrants of arrest issued by competent courts are to be served the way it was served to her this morning and warrants of arrest are not issued unless the court’s judges determine there is a probable cause. which means due process have been observed,” Panelo said.
