DID YOU KNOW: More than 200,000 dengue cases recorded in 2018

According to the latest Department of Health data, a total of 216,190 dengue cases were reported nationwide from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2018.

This was 42 percent higher than the 152,224 cases recorded during the same period in 2017.

There were 1,083 deaths due to dengue nationwide in 2018, according to latest statistics. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
