At least P17.5 million worth of property were destroyed while two persons were injured in a fire that hit a warehouse in Sta. Quiteria, Caloocan City Friday.

Supt. Stephen Requina, city fire marshal, said the fire that engulfed the Hahsy Industries Inc. reached first alarm at around 7:40 p.m. and was raised to fifth alarm at around 8:04 p.m.

The Caloocan Bureau of Fire Protection declared fire out at around 12:05 a.m. yesterday.

Firefighters returned to the warehouse yesterday morning to conduct mop-up operations.

They had difficulty putting out the fire as the warehouse was full of plastic materials.

Sixty fire personnel responded to the fire.

No casualties were recorded in the fire.

Requina said that they are still investigating the cause of the fire. (Joseph Almer B. Pedrajas)
