Two Korean brothers, who frequented casinos, died early Friday morning allegedly after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Makati City, police said.
Chief Inspector Gideon Ines, Assistant Chief of Police Operations (ACOPO) of Makati Police, identified the brothers as Sanjing Kim, 38, and Sangjun Kim, 36.
Police said that around 6 a.m., patrolling policemen heard a loud bang so they checked where it came from. They later saw the two brothers lying lifeless on the ground in front of I’M Hotel on Makati Avenue in Barangay Poblacion.
Ines said that they believe that the brothers died after falling from the third floor of the room where they were staying. They stayed room at 3001IM.
Ines said they are not discounting the possibility that there was a foul play in their death.
“We were told by the hotel staff that these brothers are always in casinos,” Ines said,.
He said that they are now checking if the brothers had visitors at that time. This is the reason why they are trying to obtain closed-circuit television camera (CCTV) footages of the hotel.
The Korean Embassy has already coordinated with the Makati police.
Police are still probing the incident.
