The incident was shown in a viral video uploaded on Facebook by netizen Reena Castro who witnessed the incident along the President Ferdinand E. Marcos Highway (R-10).
In the video, the older boy could be seen holding a knife as he tried to pull something from under the truck, while the younger boy was holding two pot lids.
Later in the video, the passenger of the truck could be seen watching the boys but chose to ignore them.
“Witnessed this earlier while driving along Pres. Ferdinand E Marcos Hwy. This is only one of the few incidents we saw involving kids, raiding trucks and taking/getting what they can, while the motorists are stuck in traffic,” Castro wrote in her post dated March 9.
“What’s worse is the fact that even those inside the truck can’t do anything because surely kukuyugin ng residents sa area if pinatulan, sinaway or pinigilan mo sila,” she added.
It was unclear from the video what the two boys were trying to take from the truck. /muf
