Anti-narcotics agents seized P1.1-billion worth of shabu and arrested four Chinese in a buy-bust operation in a posh village in Muntinlupa City.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police arrested Chua Kian Kok, 43; Go Kei Kei, 40; Li Zhao Yang, 19; and Emmanuel Pascual, 79, in Ayala Alabang Village on Tuesday.
Authorities confiscated around 166 kilograms of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P1.1 billion.
In a radio interview, PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said the confiscated drugs could have come from a country in Asia.
“This came from the backdoor of our country. [The drugs] were already finished products when it arrived in the country,” he said.
He added that the arrested were possibly members of the notorious Golden Triangle syndicate.
