US citizen, maid found dead in Dagupan

DAGUPAN CITY – A 68-year-old US citizen and her maid were found dead in a house being constructed in Barangay Lasip Grande here Friday.
Police identified the victims as Rosalina Esteves, 68, a US citizen, and Lorraine Camid, 39, stay-in house helper, of Mangaldan, Pangasinan.
Investigation revealed that 39-year-old construction worker Jonathan Zamudio, also of Barangay Lasip Grande, arrived at the house and saw Camid sprawled bloodied on the floor half-naked. Esteves, on the other hand, was also found bloodied, on her bed with a bed sheet covering her face.
Personal belongings of Esteves were scattered in her room.
The victims could have been dead for a five when their bodies were found, police said, adding that they could have been killed using a blunt object.
Police are also finding out if Camid was raped.
Seven construction workers building the house are being investigated for their alleged involvement in the killing. (Liezle Basa Inigo)
