MANILA, Philippines — The tail-end of a cold front is expected to bring rains in northern and central Luzon, the weather bureau said on Saturday.
Metro Manila, the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4 a.m. bulletin report.
Pagasa said the Ilocos Region, the Batanes and Babuyan Islands, could expect cloudy conditions accompanied by light rain due to the northeast monsoon.
The rest of the country would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers.
Meanwhile, Pagasa reported that a tropical depression outside the Philippine area of responsibility was last spotted at 1,595 km east of Mindanao.
The weather system was moving westward at 22 kilometers per hour (kph), packing sustained winds of 45 kph and gusts of up to 60 kph.
