Woman arrested for kidnap try of 5-year-old kindergarten

MANILA, Philippines — A young woman was arrested for allegedly trying to kidnap a five-year-old boy in Parañaque City on Thursday.
Citing testimonies from witnesses, police said on Friday that the victim, a kinder school student, was playing outside of his family’s house in Barangay (village) Baclaran, when the suspect identified as Princess Jana Estabillo, 19, suddenly held his hand and asked him to come with her to the toilet.
Police said bystanders were able to recognize the victim while she and the boy were walking away, prompting them to accost the suspect and report the incident to officers of the Parañaque City Police Station. The woman was then arrested when proven she was not the fetcher or guardian of the student.
The suspect will be facing a case of kidnapping, police said. /jpv
