5 drug pushers nabbed in Sarangani

GEN. SANTOS CITY – Five drug pushers from Maguindanao were arrested in a buy – bust operation Wednesday night in Malapatan, Sarangani.
Police Brig. Gen. Eliseo Tam Rasco, Soccsksargen regional police director, identified the suspects as Tato Mundas Mamalangkas, 29; Nashif Mundas, 22; Sabri Salipada, 28; Habib Saligan, 21 and Jay-R Esmael, 18, all residents of Barangay Crossing Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
Recovered from the arrested suspects were nine sachets of shabu, marked peso bills and a pickup truck.
They were arrested at a police checkpoint in front of the Malapatan town hall after the Malapatan police got word that the suspects fled from a buy-bust operation in Alabel town.
The suspects are now detained at Malapatan municipal police custodial facility, pending the filing of appropriate charges.
Rasco lauded the coordination of different police units that led to the arrest of the suspects. / gsg
