MANILA, Philippines — Lawyer and Otso Diretso senatorial candidate Romulo Macalintal went to Mass in Antipolo City to commemorate Ash Wednesday ahead of a campaign sortie.
Macalintal had ashes put on his forehead during Ash Wednesday rites, which mark the start of the 40-day Lenten season for Christians.
Macalintal heard Mass at the St. John Mary Vianney Parish Church before joining a campaign sortie in Rizal with former House Deputy Speaker Erin Tañada who is also running under Otso Diretso. /cbb
