‘Wutip’ maintains strength as it moves closer to PH–Pagasa

TYPHOON “Wutip” maintained its strength as it moved closer towards the Philippines, the state-run weather bureau said on Monday.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Wutip may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday or Thursday and would be locally named “Betty.”
Wutip was last spotted 1,815 kilometers east of Southern Luzon, outside PAR. It is moving northwest at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour (kph), with maximum sustained winds of 185 kph and gustiness of up to 225 kph. DIVINA NOVA JOY DELA CRUZ
