MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and most parts of the country will have partly cloudy skies on Friday due to the northeasterly surface windflow, the weather bureau said.
Meanwhile, Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain caused by localized thunderstorms.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Atmospheric Services Administration (Pagasa) has warned residents of possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms.
The northeasterly surface windflow will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, and provinces Aurora and Quezon, Pagasa said.
Pagasa added that the eastern sections of central and southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao will experience moderate to occasionally strong winds moving towards northeast. Coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Meanwhile, moderate to occasionally strong winds from southeast to northeast will be experienced over Northern Luzon, where coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.
The rest of the country will experience slight to moderate winds moving northeast while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. /muf
