Woman shot dead in Taguig City

MANILA, Philippines — A woman was shot dead as she was out to buy bread in Taguig City early Tuesday, police said.

Police said Myrna Gutierrez was killed at around 4 a.m. after she stepped-out of her house in Barangay Calzada-Tipas.

Gutierrez died on the spot after being shot by the unidentified gunman, police said on Wednesday.

The case is now being investigated as the motive behind the shooting is still being determined, police said. /muf
