KRIS Aquino and Boy Abunda used to enjoy friendship beyond the cameras.
Dubbed the Queen of All Media and the King of Talk, respectively; the two developed their closeness working together in several ABS-CBN talk shows in the past including “Aquino & Abunda Tonight,” “The Buzz” and “Boy and Kris.”
However, after Kris left ABS-CBN in 2016, the two are rarely seen together no longer, fanning speculations they are not in good terms.
The true state of their friendship was confirmed by Kris via Instagram recently with a netizen asking about it.
The fan asked, “Still friends with Abunda, Miss Kris? Just curious.”
Kris replied: “To satisfy your curiosity, I believe we’ll always care about each other but we are no longer active participants in each other’s lives.”
Abunda has not issued a reaction regarding Kris’ post but he did say in an episode of his late night show “The Bottomline” that he misses Aquino.
“She will always be one of the best. Kami ni Kris, basa namin ang isa’t-isa. Uumpisahan niya ang sentence, tatapusin ko. We’ve been talking to each other for over 20 years,” Abunda said.
“I miss her,” Abunda added. “I miss her as a host.” (RAMPADOR ALINDOG)
