Mother files raps vs 8 police, personnel, doctor in son’s death

A mother on Thursday filed a complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman’s Military and Other Law Enforcement Offices against eight police officers and personnel and a doctor over the death of her son in a supposed shootout in Pangasinan last August.
Joshua Laxamana, 17, was a Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) player.
In the complaint, Christine Pascual said that she was told by her youngest son that Laxamana had left for Baguio. He was supposedly on his way home to Tarlac when the shooting happened, based on the complaint.
Pascual accused the respondents of murder, planting of evidence, and obstruction of justice.
Named respondents were Rosales Municipal Police Officer-in-Charge Police Chief Inspector John Corpuz; Arvin Abella, Roy Sarmiento, and Ronald Casareno who were identified in the complaint as Police Officers 2; Oliver Vingua who was identified as a Senior Police Officer (SPO) 3; Hilario Taquiqui Jr. who was identified as an SPO1; Lady Ellen Maranion and Emeterio Macaraeg who were identified as being from the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory Office of Urdaneta City; and Dr. Adan Arlie Guieb.
