QC barangay chairwoman killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen

MANILA, Philippines — Motorcycle-riding gunmen shot dead a village chairwoman in Quezon City Wednesday, police said.
Batasan police station commander Supt. Joel Villanueva told INQUIRER.net that Barangay Bagong Silangan chairwoman Crisell Beltran, driving her car along J.P. Rizal Street when four unidentified assailants onboard two motorcycles blocked her vehicle at around 11:40 a.m. and opened fire.
According to the Quezon City Police, Villanueva was rushed to the FEU-NRMF Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.
Police have launched a hunt against the four unidentified suspects. /muf
