Tarlac town’s top drug suspect, brother nabbed

SAN MANUEL, TARLAC—Police arrested this town’s top drug personality and his brother in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Sta. Maria on Tuesday evening.
Joey Canto Jr. alias Patutot or Panyot, 32, is the number one drug suspect in the police watch list here, said Senior Insp. Ruperto Clalosa Jr., team leader of the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit.
Police seized from Canto four sachets containing suspected shabu (crystal meth) and a .45-caliber gun.
His brother Joedel, 27, who yielded a sachet of shabu, was also arrested in the same operation.
Both are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The older Canto will also be charged with violation of election gun ban. Maria Adelaida Calayag/lzb
