Cebu police seize P1.7-M ‘shabu’ and guns

POLICE arrested two men and seized P1.7 million worth of shabu in their possession in Cebu early Tuesday.
The suspects were identified as Allan Lopez, 53, and Alfonso Buot, 53, from Barangay Baliwagan, Balamban town.
The Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) of the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) conducted the joint operation for the implementation of search warrants in the place at about 6 a.m.
Seized from Lopez were 10 medium packs of shabu and an improvised shotgun with three live bullets while police confiscated a .45 caliber with magazine and three live bullets from Buot.
Senior Insp. Alejandro Batobalonos, DEU chief of the CPPO said the seized shabu, about 250 grams, has an estimated street value of P1.7 million.
No statement from the suspects are available as of posting time.
