NAGA CITY — Two weeks after a landslide hit a village in Sagñay, Camarines Sur, the search and retrieval team unearthed a body of a woman holding her eight-month-old child on Tuesday morning.

Mariano San Felipe, the municipal administrator of Sagñay, said the bodies were already in a state of decomposition when they extracted it in Barangay Patitinan at around 10 a.m.

San Felipe has not yet provided the identities of the two but said that the woman was the missing wife of a certain Jose Erno.

The bodies were believed to have been buried by the large volume of soil from the mountain that engulfed the village during the onslaught of Tropical Depression “Usman” last December 30.
