Grab driver nabbed in Mandaluyong buy-bust

MANILA, Philippines — A Grab driver was arrested by authorities in a buy-bust operation early Sunday in Mandaluyong City.
The Mandaluyong City Police Station (CPS) identified the suspect as Ricardo Alberio, 46, from Brgy. Mauway, Mandaluyong City, who worked as a Grab driver.
According to the police report by the Mandaluyong CPS, operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Agency (SDEU) collared Alberio in a buy-bust operation along Blk. 6 of Brgy. Mauway in Mandaluyong City at around 5 a.m.
Police said that Alberio was included in the newly identified user/pusher watchlist of Mandaluyong City.
The suspect and the pieces of drug-related evidence that were recovered were referred to the Eastern Police District Crime Lab for drug and laboratory testing, respectively.
Authorities will be filing a case against Alberio for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /je
