MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms could be experienced over the Soccsksargen and Davao Regions on Monday, the weather bureau said.
This will be due to the tail-end of a cold front that will be affecting eastern Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its daily weather forecast.
The weather bureau warned residents of affected areas of possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate to at times heavy rain.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring cloudy skies with light rain over the Cagayan Valley and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated lights rain over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The northern and eastern parts of the country will have moderate to strong winds from the northeast and coastal waters will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.
Northern and eastern sections of the country will experience moderate to strong winds going northeast. The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds, the weather bureau said. /cbb
