Man dead, 2 held in Camarines Sur buy-busts

NAGA CITY—A man was killed and two people were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in this city Saturday afternoon.

Records from the Naga City police said Roderick Alteza, 31, was the target of a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Sabang around 1:30 p.m.

Alteza drew a caliber .38 gun after he noticed he was transacting with policemen. Police fought back, killing the suspect, the police said.

The police said they confiscated a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) from Alteza.

In Barangay Calauag, 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 was also seized by police from suspect Jude Lizano, 21.

Lizano and his wife Rommelyn were arrested in the buy-bust at 12:10 p.m. STEPHANIE FLORIDA/lzb
