578 Nazarene devotees treated for injuries, health conditions – Red Cross

CLOSE to 600 devotees of the Black Nazarene were treated for injuries or health concerns, the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) said on Wednesday.
As of 11 a.m., the PNRC has attended to 578 devotees who have fainted, experienced difficulty of breathing, suffered from hypertension, abrasions, bruises, lacerations and toothache, Edison Enriquez, Red Cross media affairs chief, told The Manila Times.
Of the running total, 435 were unable to finish the Traslacion, which started early Wednesday.
At least 131 suffered from difficulty in breathing, abrasions, bruises, lacerations and toothache.
Eight devotees who were attended to experienced deep lacerations, severe breathing difficulty and dizziness. Three were sent directly to nearby hospitals after first aid failed to improve their conditions. ED VELASCO
