FACTORY output, both in volume and value, improved in November from a year ago but lost some steam compared to October, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Friday.
According to results of the PSA’s latest Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries, the country’s volume of production index (VoPI) grew by 1.0 percent in November. This is slower than the 3.6 percent in October but a reversal from the 10.1-percent contraction posted a year ago.
The value of production index (VaPI) was moderate by 2.1 percent from 4.9 percent in October but was also a reversal from the 10.6-percent drop a year earlier. MAYVELIN U. CARABALLO
