Only 798 passengers remain stranded in ports — Coast Guard

MANILA, Philippines — Only 798 passengers remain stranded in different ports nationwide as a result of heavy rain dumped by Tropical Depression “Usman” that has been downgraded to a low pressure area, the Philippine Coast Guard said Sunday.
In its latest tally, the PCG showed the following number of stranded passengers as of 12 noon, Sunday:
National Capital Region-Central Luzon – 281
Commander’s Wharf – 281
Southern Tagalog- 423
Mauban Port – 115
Gumaca Port – 108
Real Port – 200
Western Visayas – 36
Banica Wharf – 33
Libertad Wharf – 3
Bicol- 58
Virac Port – 50
Pasacao Port – 8
A remaining number of 15 rolling cargoes; 7 vessels; and 3 motor bancas were still stranded in the said ports.
A total of 798 passengers; 15 Rolling Cargoes; 7 Vessels; and 3 Motorbanca were stranded from different ports nationwide…
