3 bodies found in Masbate town

DIMASALANG, Masbate — Three bodies were found along the shoreline of Claveria town in Masbate on Saturday morning.
Ismael Esparrago, village councilor of Nonoc, reported the incident to the Claveria Municipal Police Station (MPS) at around 8:45 a.m.
The victims were said to have sailed using a small motor banca from Balatan town in Camarines Sur to Alabang Baybay in San Pascual town in Burias Island in Masbate on December 26. They failed to arrive in San Pascual.
Police said the deaths could not be considered as typhoon-related as the victims traveled at a time when there was still no gale warning issued by authorities. /ee
