MANILA, Philippines — A motorcycle thief has gone viral on social media after a concerned citizen posted a video of him walking away from a vehicular accident and later throwing an elderly man off a speeding motorcycle in Quezon City.
In a Facebook post by Joco Rio on Friday, he appealed to the public to help find the suspect, seen wearing a black shirt in the video taken along Roosevelt Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Friday.

In a video included in the post, Rio and his girlfriend, who were on a motorcycle, can be heard coaxing a man to stop as the latter walked away from an accident, where the TMX motorcycle he was driving crashed into a Toyota Vios along Roosevelt Avenue.
Police later determined that the motorcycle had been stolen from Barangay Magsaysay, also in Quezon City.

Rio’s video showed that man with blood on his face after he apparently sustained an injury on his head due to the collision.
Despite his injury, the man continued walking and at one point was seen running.
According to Rio, a barangay tanod was called in an attempt to stop the man, who then tried to grab the motorcycle of the responding village watchman.
Later, Rio said, the man commandeered the motorcycle of an elderly man, who can be seen on another video helplessly dangling on the speeding motorbike.
At high speed, the thief later threw the elderly man off the motorcycle and sent the victim crashing and rolling onto the pavement.
The thief then sped away with the stolen motorcycle.
Rio said the motorcycle grabber was last seen along Edsa near Muñoz on board the stolen bike with the plate number 7923 UJ.
Rio told INQUIRER.net that after the encounter, they reported the incident to the police station near the area.
Ending his post, Rio urged the public to share his post to help find the perpetrator.
“Kawawa si tatay at yung tinakbuhan nya,” he said. /cbb
