In advisories posted on social media by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Chairman Martin Delgra ordered operators to temporarily halt bus operations with roll on, roll off trips plying areas under Signal No. 1.

“Bus operators are instructed to attend to the needs of their passengers specially those who are already stranded in the ports,” LTFRB said on Viber.

The Philippine Coast Guard Station in Cebu also issued a directive, suspending all trips to and from areas affected by Usman — Sorsogon, Masbate, Ticao Island, Northern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Norther Cebu, Camotes Island, and Dinagat Island.

The suspension of trips will be lifted once the weather and sea conditions improve, the DOTr said.
