Dec. 23 to 30: Binaybayon Festival
Residents of Baybay City, Leyte province, celebrate the city’s customs and traditions in a weeklong festival.
This year’s festival theme is “Journeying with Mary, the Immaculate Conception, to a Peaceful and Faithful City of Baybay.”
Activities include a free concert, motocross competition and LGBT night.
Dec. 23 to 30: Pasko sa Kapitolyo
La Union province holds its first Christmas festival this year. Festivities in La Union’s first ever “Pasko sa Kapitolyo” are held in San Fernando City.
The parade of mascots, which features Disney movie characters, is held every Friday.
Other activities include puppet and magic shows, musical pyro displays and chorale performances.
Dec. 23 to 31: Antipolo Christmas Fiesta
The provincial capital of Rizal province wraps up its Antipolo Christmas Fiesta.
The festivities coincide with the commemoration of the 122nd death anniversary of Jose Rizal, to whom the province is named after.
On Dec. 27, residents will observe the 143rd death anniversary of Sen. Juan Sumulong.
A highway connecting Marikina City and Antipolo is named after him.
